Driver Found In Boot
After a car and a milk truck had colMded at the corner of Colcmbo and Brougham streets, Sydenham, about 5.15 am. yesterday one patient was placed in the ambulance when the driver noticed a pair of feet sticking out of the' boot of the extensively damaged car. They belonged to the driver of the car, Harold John Beams, of 155 Waimea terrace, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital
with head and leg injuries. It is not known how Mr Beams 'get into the boot. It is believed he might have been suffering from shock and was trying to get back into the car after the accident and climbed into the boot by mistake. He has since been discharged from hospital
A passenger in the car, Keith James Millar, of 18 Southampton street, suffered head and chest injuries. He was admitted to the recovery ward of the Christchurch
H<«pital. His condition was reported last evening as fairly satisfactory. The milk truck was damaged about the front The car rolled over two or three times and knocked down a shop veranda post before coming to rest on its side in Colombo street
