Mr G. H. Lusk has been appointed chairman of the Air Services’ Licensing Authority by the Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McAlpine). Other members appointed are Messrs H. B. Smith and W. H. Nankervis and Group Captain T. W. White.—(P.A.) Squadron Leader B. A. Wood, of Geraldine, officer commanding No. 41 Squadron, will return to New Zealand from South-east Asia today. He has been succeeded in his command by Squadron Leader R. I. F Garrett, of Tauranga.—(P.A.) Captain J. H. Simpson, precident of the Maritime Services’ Board of New South Wales, and Mr E. J. White, the public relations officer, were the guests of the Lyttelton Harbour Board yesterday. They are visiting New Zealand as representatives of the Australian port authorities and will attend the conference of the New Zealand Harbours’ Association in Tauranga.
Mr C. G. Cook, formerly accountant to the Automobile Association (Canterbury), was redesignated secretary to the association at a meeting of the council last evening.
