Conversion Of Plane Denied (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Oct. 23. Two 21-year-old airrpen from the R.N.Z.A.F. station at Woodbourne, were committed to the Supreme Court for trial when they appeared in the Magistrate's Court at Blenheim today jointly charged with unlawfully taking a Piper aircraft valued at £2OOO, the property of the Marlborough Aero Club.
The two airmen, Brian Arthur Holes and Barry Winstone Dorr, both pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected trial by jury when the case was first called last week. Dorr also pleaded not guilty to charges of flying the aircraft while not the holder of a licence and acting in a manner likely to imperil the safety of an aircraft and a passenger by flying during the hours of darkness when the control tower and night-flying facilities at Blenheim airport were closed.
