Extra Missiles For U.S. Army

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Oct. 22. The United States Army announced yesterday that additional modern artillery units, including nuclear - carrying missiles and rockets, are being sent to its ground forces in Europe and in the Pacific. The announcement said more Sergeant missiles—which carry nuclear warheads about 75 mile®—are being stationed in Europe. A new type of non-nuclear self-propelled gun is being sent to forces in Europe and the Pacific. The Army also announced that it is sending abroad an improved version of the Honest John rocket with a range of 15 to 20 miles, and also “larger numbers of nuclear warheads” for eightinch howitzer batteries.
