Variety Of Dogs At The Kennel Show
Dogs of all shapes and sizes ■ will be on view at the North ; Canterbury Kennel Club’s i championship, which will be held in conjunction with the ; Rangiora Show on Saturday. : Contrasting sizes are evident in the photograph above, i
which shows a pomeranian posed with a large English setter. But there will be even greater contrasts amongst the 205 entries from 40 breeds at the championship on Saturday. Among the dogs entered
are some Chihuahuas, possibly the smallest dogs in the world. The entry is by far the biggest the club has had for any of its championship meetings, being an improvement of well over 20 on the previous largest entry. Entries for the show have been received from as far apart as Nelson, Ashburton, and the West Coast, and include several dogs which have been New Zealand championship holders. The judge will be Mr R. Cavanagh, Wellington.
