A CRICKET RECORD, “Talking Cricket,” was produced recently by the Atlantic Union Oil Company from a forum discussion that was held when the M.C.C. touring team was in Wellington last season. Five members of the party, F. J. Titmus, F. S. Trueman, M. C. Cowdrey, K. F. Barrington, and the assistant manager, A. V. Bedser, gathered under the chairmanship of the New Zealand captain, J. R. Reid, to discuss the technicalities of attack and defence in modern cricket and as a result, the company decided to make a long-playing record. Copies of the record are being distributed to cricket associations and primary schools throughout the country. The photograph shows Mr P. G. Wilkinson (right), the public relations manager of the company, presenting a copy of the record to the president of the New Zealand Cricket Council, Mr E. Hayes. Watching are the chairman of the Auckland Cricket Association, Mr G. Burgess (left), and Mr J. L. Kerr, chairman of the New Zealand Board of Control.
