Mr J. Gibson's
Appointment
Mr J. Gibson, of Christchurch, has been appointed senior livestock instructor for the Department of Agriculture in the northern part of the South Island extending from the Waitaki river and Including the West Coast. Mr Gibson has served with the department for more than 20 years. He joined the department as an inspector of stock at Palmerston North, and after about five years moved to Ashburton in the same caoccity, where he remained for a similar period. He came to Christchurch in 1949 and has been senior livestock instructor in the Christchurch office. His duties in the Christchurch offie have been taken up bv Mr A. D®ck. formerly livestock instructor at Kurow, who has been with the department for about nine years.
