weeks-old budgerigar which Mr Green will try. to teach to talk He is taking several . pounds of bird seed and an assortment of “budgie toys.” Inside the heated hut at 1 Cape Hallett, the bird should find conditions much Like home. The most difficult task will be dealing with the sudden drop in temperature when transporting the bird from the various aircraft to tbe Antarctic bases. It is hoped that the insulated box , will then protect him.
