Labour Week-End

In addition to charter flights already booked, the National Airways Corporation is putting on extra flights for Labour week-end. Seven extra flights will leave Harewood on Friday Six will go to Wellington and one to Dunedin. On Saturday there will be two extra flights to Wellington and one to Dunedin. Six extra flights will leave on Monday. A steam express will be used in place of the usual rail-car to Greymouth at 6.40 p.m., on Friday. Another express will leave for Hokitika at 10.30 p.m. On the same day a second express will leave for Dunedin at 9.10 am., half a>n hour after the normal service. On , Labour Dey there will be an express to Greymouth at 6.40 p.m., and an express will leave for Dunedin at 10.55 P-m. | Newman Brothers, Ltd., will run extra buses to Blenheim and Nelson on Friday evening, and extra buses will return from Nelson on Monday evening, arriving early on Tuesday morning. Midland Motorways Services will put on more buses on the 5 p.m. service to Dunedin on Friday and on Monday. There will also be extra buses from Dunedin on both Friday and Monday evenings. Shops other than dairies and fruit shops will close at 9 p.m. on Friday and reopen on Tuesday. Fresh bread will not be available until Tuesday.
