COMMERCIAL Good Gains By N.Z. Refrig., C.S.R.
New. Zealand Refrigeration shares jumped Is 6d to 43s 6d—their highest price of the year—in Christchurch yesterday, after a 3d rise on Monday. Donaghys Rope, John Chambers and L. D. Nathan were other leaders which made good gains.
Both leading and secondary New Zealand issues were again firm; Carter Consolidated notes, Leyland Investments and North Shore Motors made the only notable declines.
Overseas issues were steadier than for some time. Colonial Sugar made a 2s 3d gain to sell at 60s 6d, their highest price since conversion to £1 units.
