St. John Ambulance Holds Field Day

A field day was held recently at the Glentennel domain by members of the Selwyn, Malvern and Cashmere combined divisions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. During the exercises patients were transported across the Selwyn river on a special sling. The Lornore jacket for cliff work and the stair case stretcher were used.

The people of the Ryukyu Islands, whidh include Okinawa, have been granted the right to be tried by jury. It was taken away from them by Japan during World War U—Reuter.
