Capitalising Pensions

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 22. A contributor to the Government " Superannuation Fund who continues in the Government's employ past the point where he is entitled to retire, will, in future, be able to make an irrevocable election to capitalise up to one-fourth of his retiring allowance. The capital sum will be payable on eventual retirement or on the contributor’s death, whichever is earlier. This provision was introduced to Parliament today as an amendment to the Superannuation Bill already before the House.
