MATRON LEAVES FOR NEW POST
Bidden Farewell At Hospital Miss J. Taylor, former matron of the Princess Margaret Hospital, left Christchurch on Friday for Auckland, where she will take up her new post as matron-in-chref to the Auckland Hospital Board on Monday. During the past week she has been guest of honour at numerous farewell morning and afternoon teas, and a oockteul party. Among the groups to entertain her at separate functions were: The registered nursing staff, the medical and departmental staff, the student nurses, the nursing-home staff, the hospital aide. and the commercial cleaning staff, all of Princess Manpret Hospital; the registered nursing staff, and the Student Nurses’ Association. both of Christchurch Hospital; and the Friends of Princess Margaret Hospital. Among the gifts presented to her were a stiver entree dish, a crystal water-set. a tee set, a tea tray, a Copen-hagen-ware dish, ■ set of silver cutlery. a table lamp, and a cheque from the medical and departmental staff of her former hospital
