Saturday’s total was made up of £239,794 10s in win and place bets and £226,473 10s on doubles. Details:— Whangarei On-course: £51,055, up £10.203. Off-course: £30,412 ss, up £1993 15s. Waipa On-course: £50.150 10s. No spring meeting last year. Off-course: £69,255 10s. Wellington On-course: £180,814 10s, up 27307. Off-course: £231,014 10s, up £20,383 ss. Geraldine On-course: £17.340 10s, down £2728 10s Off-course: £26,765 15s, down £2661 ss. Forbury Park On-course; £101.098 10s, up £8937 ss. Off-course: £108.820, up £15,798.
