Mende May Be Chosen (N.Z.PA.-R»ut«r— CopirriflM) BONN. Ort. 14. Professor Ludwig Erhard, who will become West German Chancellor on Wednesday, will meet leeders of the Free Democratic Party, minor partners in the Government coalition, in Bonn today to discuss cabinet posts.
It is considered certain that Dr. Erich Mende, the Free Democratic Party chairman. will join toe cabinet as Vice-Chancellor, a title now held by Professor Erhard. After toe 1961 General Election, Dr. Mende refused to enter Dr. Konrad Adenauer’s cabinet.
Free Democrats have also been demanding that Dr. Mende be given a ministerial post of sufficient prestige to match his status as party leader.
West German newspapers have reported that Dr. Mende is interested in the Ministry for All-German Affairs.
The Free Democrats have five ministers in the 21-mem-ber cabinet.
