CONTRACTS FOR DRAINAGE
Heathcote Valley Sewerage
A tender of £13.851 by J. C. Haworth has been accepted by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the second section of the Heathcote Valley sewer reticulation project. The tender was the second lowest of three received, the others being £12,443 by E. M. Hobson, Ltd. and £14.912 by the Rush Construction Company, Ltd.
The board has also accepted a tender by E M. Hobson. Ltd., for £7385 for the fourth section of the Blenheim road area sewer reticulation. This was the lowest of five tenders which ranged to £11,175. Other tenders accepted by the board are:—T. H. Cardwell. £2321. for the Withetls road piping of the south branch of the Avon river; E. M. Hobson. Ltd.. £1763. for a stormwater sewer in Wilsons road; and R. Taggart, £Bl4. for the removal of buildings -on the board's new office site .in Cambridge terrace. In each of these eases the succeasful tondnr *■« the Itowaat.
