TESTS FOR MISSILE

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 10.

A Seacat seanto-air missile will be fired by the frigate H.M.N.Z.S. Taranaki soon after She leaves Devonport tomorrow morning on the first stage of her passage to the Far East.

The equipment has been installed at Devonport. The Taranaki will visit Sydney and Pearl Harbour, where she will exercise with United States ships, before proceeding to Singapore to join the Far East fleet. Lieutenant H. J. Sommer, United States Navy, from the fleet training group, Pearl Harbour, wifi sail with the ship and- will remain on board until she leaves Pearl Harbour.
