Darfield Wins Grey Cup
In the final match of the season played for the Grey Cup. Darfield beat Hororata by 8 points to 6, giving Darfield an unbroken record m competition Rugby this season For Hororata penalty goals were kicked by P. Shaw and T. Reddington. DarfieJd’s points came from two tries by A. Adams, a wing, with a conversion by J. Hotop The game was marked by hard and vigorous play for the whole game and Hororata’s very lively pack fully extended the Darfield defence. The referee was Mr G. Greenaway.
