Four East German women .Wimmer* on Saturday broke the world 440 yard* medlev relay record act by an Auttralian team in Perth last November, me East German News Agency reported. They clocked 4min 44.7*0c, compared with the Australian*’ 4tnin 4S.9«ec. The swimmer* Ingrid Schmidt. Ursula Keuper Ute Noack and Heide Pechstein—also hold the 400 metre* relay record of 4min 40.1*ec. Women's Hockey Dartield won the final of the Malvern Women* Hotkey Association* senior competition when it beat Klrwe* in a very even maU-M at West Melton on Saturday Men's Hockey.—Auckland retained the Keith Falconer Memorial Cup tor men'- hockey with a narrow but decisive 3-1 win over Wellington on Saturday (P-A.)
