Canter- I bury and Northland were the strongest teams in the men’s inter-association teams’ table tennis championships at Napier today Each team appeared the likely to win its section and qualify for post-section play The finalists will meet tomorrow night. This afternoon Canterbury beat North Shore, 9-3. and Wanganui beat South Canterbury, 6-6 (14 games to 13). Tri the women’s events Canterbury beat Wairarapa, 12-0. and Bav of Plenty beat South Canterbury. 7-5. North Taranaki beat Nelson, 10-2, and Hutt Valley beat Marlborough, 10-2.
