S.I. Titles In Balance Canterbury schoolboy soccer teams have a chance of finishing first in two South Island tournaments today, and In each case matches involving Otago will be the deciding factor At Oamaru. the Canterbury under 14 team is first equal with Otago but it has a bve today while Otago has to plav Buller. If Otago wins that match it will win the tournament. Yesterday Canterbury beat Southland. 3-0. and Nelson. 9-0. In its five matches it has scored 20 goals and had five against. At Nelson, the Canterbury under 16 team, which is unbeaten, will play Otago today to decide the winner of the tournament. Canterbury beat Nelson A. 3-0. yesterday. Goals were scored by B. Presland (2) and B. Hool. Training Squad Eight Canterbury players have been included in the South Island under 14 training squad to undertake a coaching course tn Christchurch this week-end as a preparation for choosing a New Zealand team to tour Australia next year. The players are:—G. Adam P Hyland, S. Davidson, S McAlpine. R. Beaumont. G. Hobson. S. Squire, and R. Williams
