Soccer CANTERBURY IN GOOD FORM
S.I. Under 16 Tournament The Canterbury under-16 team, which is the present South Island champion, was well on the way to repeating last year’s success after the first two games in this year s tournament at Nelson. In the first match. Canterbury beat Nelson B by 7-0, goals being scored by R. Hall (2), D Glvbb (2), F. Madrussen, W. Williams and B. Presland. In the match against Buller, which Canterbury won, 8-1, the scorers were Madrussen (4), Hall (2), Williams and Pres land. In the under-14 tourname)) t at Oamaru, Canterbury had a win and a draw. It beat North Otago. 4-1, and in a very hard match drew with Buller, 1-1. Other results were:—Nelson 4, Southland 0; South Canterbury 2, Otago 2; South Canterbury 2. Southland 1; Otago 8, Southland 0.
