BRITAIN’S NEW FIRST SEA LORD, Admiral Sir David Luce, photographed in his office at the Admiralty, London. He entered the Royal Navy in the submarine service in 1927. After a distinguished career, he was appointed Commander-in-Chief, Far East Station, in 1960, and became first Commander-in-Chief of British Forces in the Far East in 1962, holding this post until his present appointment.
