P. Anderson won the singles title in the indoor bowls cham- « trips of the Manchester Independent Order of Oddfellows held recently. Results were:— Singles.—Semi-finals: P. Anderson (Sister Pearce) beat E Partridge (Phfißpstown); C. Hahn (Volunteer) beat C. Croy I Malvern). Final: Anderson beat Hahn. . „ ~ , x Pairs.—Semi-finals: G. Lightfoot and R. Doidge (Phillipstown) beat P. MeaUngs and S. Mealing? (Kaiapoi); C. Hahn and G. H. Tilson (Volunteer) beat S. Henderson and E. Partridge (Phillipstown). Final: Lightfoot beat Hahn. Rinks.—Semi - finals: Kaiapoi (P. MeaUngs skip) beat Addington (B Curgenven skip); Malvern (C. Croy skip) beat Ricearton (E. Pinkerton skip). Final: Malvern beat Kaiapoi.
