Rex Consol. Has Export Market
(N.Z. Press, Association) ■ AUCKLAND, August 24. Rex Consolidated, Ltd., Auckland manufacturing engineers and garment makers, has established an export market in Singapore and Malaya for some of its products, according to its chairman (Mr L. N. Ross). Precision engineering products are being exported by the Rex Manufacturing Company, Ltd., the principal subsidiary of the group. The first shipment was made in July and a second will follow before the end of August, Mr Ross says. While these sales are not yet substantial in amount they do indicate the existence in the East of a valuable market for New Zealand manufactures, Mr Ross explains.
The company is continuing to investigate possible extension of its sales throughout the Pacific area.
