Many Hurt In Train Smash

Thirty to 40 persons were injured, some seriously, when the Bourke Mail crashed head-on into a stationary goods train at Geurie, 18 miles from Dubbo. western New South Wales, last night. Both engines and the first carriage of the Bouirke Mail were derailed. The 110 passen,gers aboard the mail train included scores of schoolchildren going to the city for their holidays. Twenty-two persons were admitted to hospital. They were believed to be not seriously hurt.
