‘HOME TO GO SOON’

Heath As Successor (Specially written tor the N.Z.P.A. by FRANK OLIVER] WASHINGTON. August 20. Lord Home is to be re-

placed as the British Foreign Secretary by hl* deputy, Mr Edward Heath, according to reliable correspondent* of the New York "Herald Tribune.” The correspondents say American diplomat* are not at all unhappy at the imminent, but still secret, replacement The story says these diplomats (presumably fairly high up in the State Department) find Lord Home stiff-backed and traditional and they think Mr Heath is more in the Kennedy Administration mould, “young, pragmatic and flexible” and less likely to wear the old school tie.
