A two-storey house at 26 St. Andrews square, Papanui, was passed to at £5900 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr G. H. Kissell. The house has a lounge with sliding doors leading to a sitting room, two bedrooms, two sunrooms, a kitchenette, bathroom and laundry. There is also a double garage on the section of 26 5-10 perches. The rates are £46 12s 3d. Two sections at Valley road, Cashmere, were each passed to at £2lOO. One section comprised 37 3-10 perches, and .he other 1 rood 7 6-10 perches. The auctioneer was Mr R. Simes. A house at 57 Major Hornbrook road, St. Andrews Hill, has been sold by private treaty by Hutchinson, White. Ltd. The property was passed to at £5500 when offered at auction recently. Drivers’ Course. The drivers' improvement course which was to be held by the traffic department of the Christchurch City Council this evening has been postponed. It will now be held in the M.E.D. theatrette at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18.
