SCAVENGER HUNT
Y.M.C.A. Holiday Programme A holiday programme arranged by the Christchurch Y.M.C.A. includes a five-day educational scavenger hunt in the city for all schoolchildren. Each morning from September 2 to 5 the children will have to find five objects and bring them to the Y.M.C.A. They will be given points in order of their arrival. The first prize will be a new bicycle, second prize £l5 worth of clothing, third prize a travel warrant, and fourth prize shoes. Thirty-four consolation prizes will be given Entry forms will be available from the Y.M.C.A. and 33 suburban stores from August 26.
Five million athletes took part in the preliminaries and finals of the second international “Pravda” cross-country races.
