Christchurch Club Tournament The results of the fifth round of the president's ladder played at the Christchurch Contract Bridge Club were:— Open.—North-south: Mrs H. Smart and Mrs D. T. McCormick 1, Miss R. Ferguson and Mrs W. McLennan 2, I. and N. Hughes 3. East-west: Mrs W. Cowlishaw and Mrs W. Ellis 1. Dr. J. Thomson and Mrs H. Burry 2. Dr. J. McQuilkin and Mrs H. R. Pool 3. Handicap.—North-south: Miss Ferguson and Mrs McLennan 1, Dr. D. Laing and Mrs Laing 2. Mesdames McCormick and Smart 3. East-west: Mesdames Cowlishaw and Ellis 1, Dr. Thomson and Mrs Burry 2. Dr. McQuilkin and Mrs Pool 3. The winners of the open afternoon duplicate were Mrs H. J. Hopkins and Mrs H. Simpson. Mrs A. Dewhirst and Mrs A. Donaldson.
