Auckland Team N.L Winners (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 18. Southern Districts (Auckland) comfortably won , the North Island final of the Rothmans Rugby League tourney by defeating Waitara (Taranakli. 53-17, on Saturday. They now meet Linwood, of Christchurch in the national final at Auckland on August 31. The Auckland team led. 22-0. at half-time, and was superior in all departments. Its points were scored by R. Christian (3). D. Waldon (31. D Cash (2). D Gore. E. Moore. D. Sanderson. J. Ford. E. Wiggs tries, and Sanderson kicked seven conversions. For Waitara. P. Marshall, R_ Kearns and B. Grey scored tries, and R. Isaacs kicked three conversions and a penalty.
