WELLINGTON. August 18. The six-year-old. Bagush. which is raced by Mr A. K. Scott, of Hunterville. scored hi> first win lor a year when he narrowly won the Carterton Handicap from Marcato at the Carterton Racing Club's annual meeting at Tauherenikau on Saturday . „ . The rank outsider. Toorak, won the Taratah! Handicap. It was Toorak'a first win since a hack race at Woodville last December. H* paid £46 8s and £9 Bs. The New Zealand Hack Steyers' Plate was easily won by the odds-qn favourite. Fleeting Moment which had won at his previous start at Ricoarton.
