N.Z.-REFINED PETROL

Few Changes In Distribution (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Aug. 13, It was not envisaged that methods of distributing petroleum products throughout New Zealand would be substantially changed when the oil refinery wenit on stream early in 1964. the chairman of the New Zealand Oil Refining Comp.-ny (Mr W. S McLean) said today. Many matters arising from the building of the refinery were still the subject of intensive economic study and discussions both overseas and in New Zealand, said Mr McLean. At present each company organised the transportation of its products from overseas refineries to ports of entry in New Zealand. When the refinery was on stream, each company would still be responsible for transporting crude oil from producing fields to the refinery and for transporting its refined products from the refinery to coastal installations in New Zealand. Products such as aviation fuels, kerosenes, solvents, and lubricants would continue to be imported and distributed as at present, said Mr McLean.
