Executions In Havana

(NZPA -Reuter—Copyright) HAVANA, Aug. 17. Firing squads in Las Villas Province have executed three agents of the American Intelligence Agency captured while trying to land on Cuba’s north coast last month, according to an official communique published in the Cuban press today. The spies carried arms, secret documents, money and “instructions from the C.LA. to organise nets of military espionage and sabotage against the nation’s economy," the communique said.

The three men were trained by an American in a “school of 20 on the high seas" and transferred from the “ship of the C.1.A." to a smaller boat in which they landed on Cay Verde, a Cuban island off the coast where they were captured, it added.
