N.Z. Squash Seedings

The leading Canterbury pair, G. A. Davidson and M. J. Simons, are rated immediately behind the New Zealand team for Australia, in the national association’s seedings for the New Zealand squash rackets championships to begin in Christchurch on September 13. Simona Is the fifthseeded player, one ahead ot Davidson, who lost to Simona in the final of the Christchurch closed titles, but who has regained the top Canterbury ranking with two subsequent wins. T. C. Johnston (Palmerston North), who was named as the reserve for the touring team, is the only notable absentee from the men’s A grade championship field of 32. The seedings are headed by C. R. Waugh (Palmerston North), G. L. Bird (Timaru), J. S. Walker and I. T. Easton (Hamilton), Simons, Davidson, and K. R. Green and F. N. Coe, both of Timaru.
