Week’s Share Trading Closes On Firm Note

Both New Zealand and overseas issues closed the week on a firm note in trading yesterday. New Zealand leaders showed a strong trend. New Zealand Insurance regained some of the ground lost earlier in the week. John Burns also recovered to sell at its mid-June price of 265. Vibrapac rose Is 7d to sell at 23s ex dividend. Among overseas issues Ampol, Clyde Industries, H. C. Sleigh, Myer and W. R. Carpenter advanced, while A.C.1., B.H.P. and Mount Isa eased.
