(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON. August 16. The Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) today urged people interested in taking advantage of the Budget’s 20 per cent tax allowance on investments in new plant, machinery and buildings on the West Coast to make applications for the approval of their schemes. Approval would not be difficult to obtain, be said. “It is intended to interpret the proposals announced in the Budget liberally, and even if there Is doubt about any proposals, there wOI be no harm in submitting them.” The concessions apply to projects in the counties of Inangahua, Buller, Grey. Westland and associated towns.
