Celebration Of Anniversary Floral arrangements and exhibitions of articles made by the arts and crafts circle of the Phillipstown Townswomen’s Guild were on display when the guild held its fifih anniversary party. Guests welcomed by tihe president, Mrs G. Mardon, included the secretary of the Dominion federation (Mrs R. H. Smiililh); Mrs F. Pheloung, of Dominion federation; Mrs A. Thomson, area president; Mrs S. Sheltock. area secretary; Mesdames M. Arnold, H. McDowell and L. Russell of the area executive; Mirs G. A. C. Plwneridge. founder of the Phillipstown guild; and representatives of sister guilds. The programme included >iano duets by Mesdames S lodgson and W. T. Ayling; vocal solos by Mrs G. Harrali, and a recitation by Mrs C. Novis. The drama circle gave a performance of “Goose Chaise," with which it won the A grade cup in the recent townswomen's guild drama festival.
