COLOURING BOOK

Aid For Crippled Children The picture of a seven-year-old girl will be featured on pamphlets, posters, and on television to promote a children’s colouring book that will raise £lO,OOO for the New Zealand Crippled Children Society. The little girl, whose name is Frances, was born crippled and it was feared she would never be able to walk. She is now able to move as quickly as any child by using crutches. Most of her life has been spent in the Wilson Home, Auckland. Recently she left the home and now she goes to the Crippled Children Society’s special school in Remuera. Her teacher describes her as a bundle of life and energy. The colouring books illustrate the letters of the alphabet. Each letter has been sponsored by a food manufacturer and has a little rhyme beside it. All I.G.A. stores will sell 200,000 of the books from August 19. They will be sold at cost under a plan which guarantees the Crippled Children Society £lO,OOO.
