Export Court A "First" For The Fair

A feature of this year’s Industries Fair will be the 1200 sq. •ft Export Court. This will embrace the stands and exhibits of over 30 Canterbury manufacturers, whofce products are exported to all parts of the world. Primary produce is represented by the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company’s very comprehensive exhibit.

The court, designed by a Christchurch architect, Mr A. L. Mitchener, is in four sections. Two sections are devoted to the display of heavy machinery exports, these including boilers and cranes. One section is that of the frozen meat, and the fourth, a walk-in section, permits the fair-goers to inspect a wide variety of manufactured products which are sent overseas from Christchurch.

The latter will include leathers, seeds, glassware, rubber ware, small machinery, paint brushes, clothing, footwear and electrical and food products.

This will be the first time that an Export Court has ever been shown as a part of an Industries Fair in New Zealand.
