Same Price For Town Milk

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. After consultation with the Milk Board, the Government has decided the price for town milk supplies for the coming season will be the same as tor 1962-63, the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Talboys) told the annual meeting of the Town Milk Producers’ Federation. Commenting that the traditional basis for town milk price had been the price paid to cheese factory suppliers tor butterfat, he said he did not think the Government’s decision would be unexpected. “There is no change this year in the prices to be paid to dairy factory suppliers for butterfat, and it is intended that the town milk price shall also continue at the current rates,” he said.
