Certificates Presented To New Accountants

Twenty-seven new members of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants received certificates of membership from the DeputyMayor (Cr. H. P. Smith) at a graduation function held in the City Council Chambers last evening. About 35 persons attended in addition to the invited guests, who included the Town Clerk (Mr C. S. Bowie), Professor A. S. Carrington, professor of accountancy at the University of Canterbury, Mr R. G. Compton and Mr J. H. Pickles, former presidents of the society, Mr T. R.
