Deer Destruction Order Stayed

(N.Z. Press Asxoctation) WELLINGTON, August 13. The Mlntoter •£ Forest* (Mr Gerard) announced tonight that because the Prime Minister (Mr Hoiyoake) had offered the No* Zealand Deerstalkers’ Association a select committee to look into all aspects of deer farming and wapiti control, the Director of Forest* had withdrawn the notice given to the owner* of two herd* in Waikato that their herd* were to be destroyed. The notice* were withdrawn pending the findings of the proposed select committee, said Mr Gerard.
