SEWER-UNE OBJECTION

Board Agrees To

Conditions

The Christchurch Drainage Board has agreed to meet conditions of the Gardner Estate for an interceptor sewer being put through the estate’s property in Clyde road. Mr C. Gardner asked that the board should give an assurance that rhododendrons would be removed and replanted, some trees removed, the driveway remetalled, and soil replaced. After Mr E. F. Scott, the chief engineer (planning), had reported that the three lastmentioned conditions were covered by the contract, the board agreed to adhere to its proposed sewer line through the estate and meet the conditions of the land-owners for the shifting ot the rhododendrons.
