New- Zealand Maoris wound up their successful South Island tour by thrashing West Coast, 53-8, at Greymouth on Saturday. It was the biggest win of their southern trip. With speed to burn in the backs and tossing the ball about in carefree. but polished fashion, the Maoris led 16-3 at half-time. In all they scored 13 tries. The remaining points coming from seven conversions by the full-back, M. Walters. Try scorers for the Maoris were R. Rang) (three). V. M. Yates (three), J. M. Toki (two). P. Myers. J. P. Taitoko. G. Mia>hupuku, R. Wainohu. and J. Porima.

West Coast points came from a first-half penalty by A. G. King and a try right on time by M. Gray, which was converted by King.
