FESTIVAL FOR 1965

Planning Begun In City A major festival is planned for Christchurch in February. 1965. and one will not be held next year. Preliminary plans will be raised at a meeting late this month called bv the Acting-Mayor <Cr. H P. Smith) for all those interested in the promotion and development of Christchurch.

A draft programme covering two weeks has been prepared by the Canterbury Public Relations Officer (Mr C N. Todd). It has been planned to coincide with the biennial show of the Canterbury Horticultural Society, which is sending invitations to ovenseas governments.
