Parliament’s Diary
After discussion lasting all yesterday morning and afternoon, two classes of the Estimates were passed by Parliament, which adjourned at 4.50 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13. The Estimates passed, with the amounts actually spent in the previous year in parenthesis, were: Audit Department, £285,000 (£283,619); Legislative Department, £298,000 (£301,040). The annual report of the Reserve Bank was among papers presented.
