Worrell, who injured his knee on Wednesday. will play in the vital fifth test match starting at the Oval later this month. Worrell, who was 39 yesterday, will not need an immediate operation, as was previously feared. Worrell went to hospital after being hit on the shin by a drive from J. H. Edrich in the tourists' current match against Surrey.
