RESEARCH UNIT
Proposal By Foundation
The Canterbury Medical Research Foundation is considering setting up some project of its own in addition to its general work of sponsoring existing projects the chairman (Mr R. C Neville) said yesterday. This was because the foundation was now gathering in more money than it was spending, he said.
A meeting of the various regional research foundations would be held in Auckland on August 8, with Mr Neville and Mr A. W. Mann, Mere tary of the Canterbury foundation, as Canterbury representatives. One of -the matters discussed would be a suggestion for greater co-ordination between the foundations, especially in fund-raising.
