M.P. Asked To Explain Mr N E. Kirk, M.P., for Lyttelton, was called on yesterday to prove the validity of a reported remark in Parliament that members of the National Party had been paid to disrupt Labour Partv political meetings. Mr C C A. McLachlan, chairman of the CanterburyWestland division of the National Party, challenged Mr Kirk to substantiate his remarks or to withdraw them and apologise.
